The story of the Nutcracker is an old German tale passed down to us from E.T.A. Hoffman. Gruesome and frightening as it was, the brilliant composer Tchaikovsky created a beautiful ballet that has become a Christmas tradition of many to attend each season. New to the theatrical scene is CLARA’S DREAM, a musical version of the story Mr. Hoffman . . . with a few character twists to make it less frightening and more in keeping with the holiday.
